Coastal Steward works to restore and preserve Long Island’s waters through a shellfish restoration program. To date, more than 500,000 adult shellfish have been released into Port Jefferson and Mt. Sinai Harbors, with the goal of establishing a self-sustaining population of oysters in the North Shore’s coastal waters.
