Leading the Charge: Energy resilience and EVs in Antigua

Caribbean islands contribute just a fraction of a percent of global climate pollution, yet they are among the hardest hit by climate impacts, including more intense hurricanes. At the Victory Center, a special needs school in St. John’s, Antigua, the Environmental Defense Fund and the Department of Environment are working together to see how an electric school bus can help the school stay up and running even if a hurricane knocks out the power.
